Stephen Clarke’s “Build a Better Dressage Horse” Clinics 2021
Canadian Dressage Riders and Owners (CADORA) Inc. last hosted Stephen Clarke in 2019 before COVID-19 changed all of our lives and travel became virtually impossible. However, we are thrilled to say that as of today we do have two clinics booked for this October and as long as COVID-19 allows, Stephen Clarke has agreed to come to Canada to entrance us with his skills once again.
The dates and locations are:
- October 1 – 3, 2021: Team Irwin Dressage, Stouffville, ON
- October 8 – 10, 2021: Prairieland Park, Saskatoon, SK
On the Friday evening before each clinic, Stephen will be giving an Educate Your Eye classroom session. With his knowledge, tact, and well-known humour, these will be evenings to look forward to and remember for a very long time.
The Stephen Clarke clinics are organized by national CADORA Inc., but it is the local CADORA groups who manage the individual clinics. CADORA club members are given rider priority provided they have achieved certain competitive scores, followed by Level 3 coaches, their students, junior and young riders, amateurs, and young horses. The intent is that these clinics are representative of a cross-section of riders and horses at all levels and ages who are currently competing or working toward competing. These are not demonstration clinics, each rider with their horse has an individual lesson and are limited to one ride only. Auditors are welcome so they may observe and learn how improvements at all levels can be achieved.
We are always thrilled that Stephen Clarke, FEI Judge General as chair of the Judging Advisory Group, continues to enjoy coming to Canada for our clinics. He loves working with riders at all levels and particularly younger riders or those quite new to dressage so he can install those all-important basics.
