The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup is an educational, leadership- and competition-based event for American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) youth members from around the world. This biannual event was hosted by Canada in 1990 and 2008.

2021 HCBC Memberships Are Available - Don't forget it's time to renew!

Equestrian Canada (EC) is pleased to announce that the 2021 EC Rules are now available online at www.equestrian.ca/programs-services/rules.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alberta Equestrian Federation, along with leading industry partners, launched “Alberta Equine Partners for the Herd,” a fundraising initiative earlier this year to support the equestrian community in Alberta during these difficult and uncertain times.

The Dutch Warmblood stallion, Totilas, considered to be one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in the world, passed away on December 14, 2020 at the age of 20 due to a severe case of colic.

Winners in the FEI Awards 2020 five categories were revealed today, with multi-medalled young Dressage star Semmieke Rothenberger claiming the Longines FEI Rising Star Award for the second year in a row, and Eventing legend Ingrid Klimke also taking back-to-back wins as Peden Bloodstock FEI Best Athlete.

There has been much interest in the 97 animals rescued as part of a cruelty investigation near Princeton, British Columbia at the end of September, 2020, including the 27 horses who were rescued. At the time, the emaciated horses had to go into strict quarantine immediately. Tragically, several didn’t make it.
