Amy Millar Delivers Double Clear Performance for Canada - The Canadian Show Jumping Team finished fifth in the $150,000 CSIO 4* Nations Cup, presented by Premier Equestrian, held March 5, 2021, at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

Ontario Equestrian (OE) is excited to announce the 2021 GRIT team. Now, in their second year of GRIT (Great Riders Intensive Program), OE is eager to be able to execute the program fully.

The term “para” means parallel and para-equestrian refers to equestrian sport for riders who have a disability. Para-Dressage is a Paralympic sport and Canada has a strong team competing on the world stage.

Horse racing in Canada, like all sectors of equine sport, was forced to make some serious concessions last year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Quarter Horse racing, although a small market in Canada compared to Standardbred and Thoroughbred racing, does have a thriving industry which can boast some of the richest races in all of Quarter Horse racing and a significant historical legacy in Canada.

BC Summer Games 2022 - HCBC 2020 Award Winners

Two horses were euthanized due to injuries suffered in an indoor arena collapse in Elmvale, Ontario on Sunday, February 28, 2021. The building, located at New Dawn Horizons Stables, suddenly collapsed shortly after three horses were turned loose inside. One of those horses and another in an adjacent paddock suffered serious injuries and had to be euthanized.

The Spruce Meadows Organizing Committee, with the unanimous support of the Spruce Meadows Board of Directors, has determined that current circumstances, brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and its related impacts and restrictions, will prevent the Spruce Meadows Summer Series from being organized and run on its historic June/July dates.
