AGM and Board of Directors 2021 Elections - In the Manitoba Horse Council (MHC) News for January 2021, MHC reported on A Bright Outlook for 2021 and the recreation activities highlighted at MHC’s Council of Clubs. This Council is very important, almost the lifeblood of MHC, as our 24 member clubs have a solid say in the direction of the Council at two meetings every year. One meeting is the Council of Clubs in November (reported in Canada’s Equine Guide 2021). The second meeting of the Council is participation at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), slated for April 15, 2021, as a Zoom meeting.

Equine Guelph has announced the reboot of JobTrack, its free online equine employment matching service. Serving the Ontario horse community for nearly 20 years, JobTrack has been a popular job-matching service for thousands of employers and job seekers. After undergoing many updates and upgrades for user functionality, the free service is live and now available at EquineJobTrack.ca. With its new facelift and upgraded user-ability, Equine JobTrack is poised to roll out across Canada to serve the equine industry nationally.

The Angelstone Group is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with the Equestrian Management Group (EMG) to manage the Caledon Equestrian Park. It is a great honour and responsibility for our team to continue the fine legacy of excellence that spans three decades in the town of Caledon.

Last year was really something else. The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the way we work, play, and celebrate. Like so many other events, COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Horse Council BC's (HCBC) popular BC Equine Education Summit and the Community Talks Travelling Road Show. Our horse community is strong and we are resilient. We will not let COVID-19 bully us.

Equestrian Management Group (EMG) has entered into an agreement that will see the management of the Caledon Equestrian Park in Caledon, ON, turned over to Angelstone Events.

The roughly 500 wild horses living on Canada's Sable Island National Park Reserve are of unique interest to researchers across Canada, who yearn to understand their pivotal role in the Island's 42-kilometre protected and self-contained ecosystem off the coast of Nova Scotia.

Equestrian Canada (EC) extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Eva “Evi” Maria Pracht of Stouffville, ON, who passed away on Feb. 15, 2021, at the age of 83.
